The Company, formerly Kiatnakin Finance and Securities Public Company Limited, operates commercial development dispositions through loans, hire purchase agreements and finance leases. Effective from April 3rd, 1998 the Ministry of Finance as agreed by the Financial Restructuring Authority granted permission to the company to continue its normal operations, after a partial suspension during 1997.
There are two subsidiaries and a joint venture company under Kiatnakin Finance Public Company
Limited. Two subsidiaries are Kiatnakin Securities Company Limited and Radanatun Finance Public
Company Limited. A joint venture company is Devonshire Kiatnakin Company Limited; a joint venture of Kiatnakin Securities Company Limited which operates in investment banking business.
The Three types of activity which comprise the business of the group are as follows:
1. Finance business is conducted by Kiatnakin Finance Public Company Limited and
Radanatun Finance Public Company Limited.
2. Securities business is conducted by Kiatnakin Securities Company Limited. and
Devonshire Kiatnakin Company Limited.
3. Investment in funds is conducted through investment in 6 funds, namely Asia Recovery 1,
Asia Recovery 2, Asia Recovery 3, Thai Restructuring, and Asia Recovery Property 1 and
Asia Recovery Property 3.
1971 Kiatnakin Finance and Securities Company Limited was established by Mr. Kiat Wattanavekin.
1973 The company was granted full licenses to conduct finance and securities businesses .
1982 During the rapid growth of Thailand’s equity market, the company become an authorized broker (Number 19) on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
1988 The company was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
1993 The company became public company.
1997 Kiatnakin was one of 42 finance and securities companies whose operations were temporarily suspended.
1997 The company was one of two finance firms whose rehabilitation plans were approved by the Financial Sector Restructuring Authority (FRA).
1998 The Ministry of Finance confirmed successful implementation of the rehabilitation plan and resumed its business operations.
1998 Kiatnakin separated its finance and securities businesses into Kiatnakin Finance Public Co., Ltd. (KK) and Kiatnakin Securities Co., Ltd (KKS).
1999 The company was one of the only two finance companies allowed to resume the operation by the Ministry of Finance.
March 19 : Participated in the second round of Hire/Purchase Asset Auction of the Financial Sector Restructuring Authority (FRA) , worth Baht 15,710 million.
August 11 : Participated in the third round of Hire/Purchase asset Auction of the Financial Sector Restructuring Authority (FRA) , worth Baht 20,009 million.
July 1 : Kiatnakin separated its finance and securities businesses to Kiatnakin Finance Public Co., Ltd. (KK) and Kiatnakin Securities Co., Ltd (KKS).
2000 Purchased ordinary shares of Radanatun Finance Public Company (Limited) worth Baht 1,385 million.
